Abigail Blackmore is a descendant of talented female mediums and is one of the best in her own right. Law enforcement from all over the Seattle area see her out to help with their toughest cases. But hiding at home and conducting most of her business via the internet is now to meet men. But a new ghost who has entered her life is about to change all that.
Kent Caruso ex- special Forces now a highly skilled hacker at Seattle dotcom, cant forgive himself for his wife’s accidental death while he was deployed in Afghanistan nearly two years ago. Interested in the supernatural for years, he finds himself wondering into a little occult shop on Valentine’s day and smack into the sexist palm reader in Seattle.
The first book in the Oasis Group series starts with a fast, hot romance between Abby and Kent that has a little help from cousin Marty and one of his not quite perfect elixirs. What will the side effects be and will Kent and Abby’s love be strong enough to prevail over the powerful Blakemore legacy?
Only cousin Jake Blakemore, CEO of the Blakemore Oasis Group—a prestigious private security firm of highly skilled operatives—knows how deep those male dominated Blakemore secrets go and he won’t share much of his knowledge with Abby. But he assures his cousin that if hers and Kent’s feelings are true than in the end, nothing can stand in the way of their happiness.
Recived for review from netgally and romance beckons publishing this has in now way affected my review.
This slice of heaven got me with the initial line- “Wakey.Wakey…How dare she intrude on this private and spectacularly lucid moment of the perfect and equally perfect sex!” What a way to pull you in LOL. This is a quick read and had a liberal dose of laughs alongside the paranormal elements.
Abby Is just one In a long line of females with a talent for psychic abilities . The entire Blackmore family has…talents of one kind or another. When she keeps having conversations with one particularly resilient spirt and this and then has the most scorching dream of her life, Abby realises that her life is about to change.
Daria the spirt want Abby to find Kent her former husband and tell him its time to ler her go. he couldn’t have saved her he was far away in Afghanistan at the time she died but he feels tremendous guilt as he had re enlisted again instead of settling down with her.
Kent has always loved the paranormal and on what should have been his wedding anniversary he feels the pull to “Palm reader.” He’s a bit weary of Madame Abigail and her story but when he is finally convinced she is genuine he’s a bit dumbfounded. he really shouldn’t be feeling the almighty pull towards her that he does… especially not today.
Add in a meddlesome cousin Marty a love potion and simmering instant attraction and what you get Is a short fun read with instalove of the best kind! Whilst the story was a wee bit thin it was a great read. The characters are wonderful and Kent Is an adorably guilt stricken widower who just doesn’t know what to make of the events unfolding!
