Claude’s Christmas Adventure Sophie Pembroke

Hey guys today I am here with a book review for Claude’s Christmas Adventure by Sophie Pembroke.

Claude’s Christmas Adventure Hardcover by Sophie Pembroke

This Christmas a little dog is in for a BIG adventure…

Meet Claude. He’s a loveable, big-eared, permanently hungry French Bulldog, who loves his humans the McCawley family of number 11 Maple Drive to be precise.

When Daisy and Oliver McCawley start using new words like, ferry’, chateau’ and France’, Claude realises they won’t be spending this Christmas at home. Only, when he finds himself on the street, as the family car pulls away, Claude realises he is ALONE. And more importantly, he is without all the yummy treats he knows the festive season brings

Cue the start of Claude’s Christmas Adventure. It all begins with a belly-flop through next door’s catflap, where he finds newly single and craft-a-holic Holly, Jack the ex-army postman, his arch nemesis Perdita the cat and serious amounts of gingerbread.

Maple Drive’s cutest resident is about to bring the street together for Christmas, in ways no-one could have imagined

With this book being about a dog I had to read and request a copy of this one after being a dog lover myself and owning 3 dogs. If you love dogs and Christmas of course this a book to read. The McCawley family are going to France for Christmas, taking their dog Claud. however he escapes from his cage in the back of the car to chase away Perdita the neighbours cat. the family are not aware he escaped and he is left behind in Maple Drive alone.

I love how their is a viewpoint from Claud because this book is told in multiple perspectives. Claud is not the only one facing Christmas alone. he meets Jack the postman who has only just moved to Maple Drive and then there is Holly the owener of Perdita who loves crafting and backing but has no one to enjoy it with.

this is a quick and easy read and I love the characters. A sweet Christmas read to get you in the spirt
